Turkish Nacelle Center is a Joint Venture company between Collins Aerospace and Turkish Airlines Technic and was established in 2010, located in Sabiha Gökçen Airport/HABOM, Istanbul. The company offers maintenance, repair and overhaul services of thrust reverser and nacelle systems to commercial airlines both domestic and international. We at present require an experienced individual who will contribute to our success, whilst upholding our reputation as a leading provider of quality MRO services with our EMEA customers.

• Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or an equivalent discipline
• At least 3 years of experience required as a Stress Engineer within the aerospace industry
• Able to demonstrate knowledge and hands on capability of both classical hand calculation static stress, fatigue and damage tolerance analysis and finite element methods
• Knowledge of manufacturing/fabrication and analysis processes and methods used to repair metallic and composite structures
• Strong interpretation skills on maintenance instructions, manuals, and blueprints/drawings/3D model based definitions
• Knowledge of regulatory and aerospace quality requirements
• Experience in MathCAD, Nastran/Patran required CatiaCPD, FiberSIM would be useful
• Strong analysis, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English is a must
  
• No travel restriction (anticipated at approximately 10%)

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Liaison with repair engineers for disposition of discrepancies
• Substantiation of repairs to structural components by addressing all relevant structural certification and Airworthiness Authority Regulations
• Determination of any acceptance limits
• Co-ordination of specialist assistance from other parent/sister facilities where necessary
• Local control of engineering software used in analytical substantiation
• Perform stress analysis (hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis) of designed repairs and minor deviations of original design data
  
• Compliance with all RTX policies and procedures inclusive of EH&S, Code of Ethics, Intellectual Property and Global Trade Compliance requirements
