Core Activities
- To assist Supervisors to achieve the yearly food revenue target
- To assist Supervisor to achieve the budget of food cost
- Co-operate and help his superior the project service opportunities in order to increase revenue
- Participate in preparation of creative menu in accordance to the competitors; follow the standard recipes at all time
- To attend training sessions and meetings when required to operate in line with the training of information received
- To follow high standard of personal & food hygiene at all time
- To assist Supervisor in control the departmental expense budget through the year
- To ensure that there is no over production
- Ensure that the hotel’s cost control policies and procedures are followed (by minimizing left-over or spoilage and improve utilization of leftover)
- To follow and prepare the menu mise en plus according the standard recipe
- Dispenses food only with proper guest checks, inter kitchen transfer or kitchen requisition
- Any other work assigned by the Executive Chef
Competencies
- Recognized culinary education or proven apprentice ship program
- Basic spoken English required
- Enthusiastic, passionate, flexible, highly committed with a desire to learn
- Two years cooking experience
- Sight needed for safety in working around sharp blades of knives on a very frequent basis
